I have been here 3 different times. My first trip, I took a lot of pictures. I honestly forgot to take any note when I went, so I'm just going to share what I have. All the pictures are from the first trip. On my third trip, I did see something that made me wonder. I just got to the cemetery around 2ish in the afternoon. I decided to walking around the entire outside edge trying to look deep into the woods. I was looking for any buildings that may have been the rumored school house. After walking around for I guess 20 mins or so, I decided to leave. I started walking to the car and off the right (east side of the cemetery) I heard a branch break. It was not a twig snap, from the sound it had to be a 1"-2" thick branch. I stopped and looked. I probably kept looking for 10 - 20 seconds, then next thing I know a big black thing takes off running outside the cemetery (away from me). I didn't see it till it started to run. I'd say it was the size of a full grown great dane, and all black. It seemed to move too fast for a big dog, especially in the woods. It didn't really bother me til I started to think about it on my way home. All these things started to pop in my head. What if it was a bear? (lol, bear in northern Indiana) What if it had been a dog and attacked me? What if it... Here is a picture of the 13 "graves". I read an article that debunks them as grave markers. In the article it had an old picture of the cemetery, and it showed these 13 "graves" are nothing more than stepping stones. From my own personal experience, going up you do count 13. But going down, the angle of the steps make them hard to see. I did count 12 the first time, only because 2 of them look like one when you count going down. Here is a picture at the back of the cemetery A path at the back of the cemetery More headstones At the start of the trees, there is a steep hill going down that leads to a creek. Look at all the orbs!!! Just kidding, the dust was stirred up from the gravel road when we first got there. It was so bad, it kind of hurt to breath. More markers A tree that had recently fell over

I Just wanted to share an interesting experience that I had out there several years ago. We didn't have any flash lights, so we had the car head lights pointed at the grave yard. We were there for probably 15 minutes or so, and the head lights to the car shut off. We couldn't get them to turn back on until we backed the car down the road about 30 ft. or so from the entrance of the grave yard, maybe the car was just acting up... maybe not who knows ~sci-fi music plays~ Other than that didn't experience much aside from the hair rising on the backs of your neck, feeling like someones watching you, uneasy feeling. Side note; Its a bummer that the "13 graves" was debunked. Oh well.

I went here when I was younger 2 nights in a row the first night nothing happened but me and my 3 friends felt the need to go back the following night. Upon the second visit we encounterd steps branches breaking and leafs ruffling in the woods surrounding. Heavy sense of being watched. A friend and I went and set in the car and as we set with the head lights on i witnessed a apparetion manifest.( It was all white and the clothes he was wearing were old boots puffy pants and a ruffled shirt.) When it got tobthe head it like exploded into little white particles. It was standing right beside the huge monument in front of the "13 graves". Sometime after that i felt a huge jump on the top of my vehicle after watching black " sheet like things " go from tree top to tree top. At that point I wanted to leave. We left and stopped at the gas station inside markle and i got out to see if the thud on my car top made any damage and found the body imprint in the dew on top of my car in the shape of a man. It looked like someone had laid across the top of my car and put one hand on the back windshield. There was no way for one of us to have put it there only if we had layed over the car and done so. There was also scratching all around my car that looked like writing. None of which could be read.i havent been back that was 11-12 years ago but i would like to go back sometime soon and see if the same experiences happen again. Has anyone else experienced anything like this there?

I have been there allot and the original 13 graves are not there, they are deep in a woods down the road. The stones that are at the cemetery are for the horse drawn hurst, the stones kept it from rolling backwards. But I do believe there is something there, Ben in wells county my whole life.

I found this place over 30 yrs ago by accident and fell in love with it, it's peace and beauty captivated me. 30 years after finding it I revisited it. This time it was mowed and cleaned up which made it even more aloring for me. Yesterday my blind son and I visited it, I told him it was my secret graveyard that it had been calling me, I needed the calm and peace that only I get from this place. I knew nothing of the history of this place until today when I googled it. I have never gotten any creepy vibes, yesterday as my son and I was exploring we spooked a baby fawn/deer which was awesome in it's self and we found the fondation of what I now know was the blind school. This is and always will be my happy place, I plan to go and clen some of those old stone's the best I can. Sorry no creepy vibes for us we loved our visit

If you find yourself tresspassing to look for a blind school that never existed, you'll likely find foundations from a former homestead that burned down long ago. The stones in the cemetery were to hold the horse-drawn hearses in place. Lots of hunting in the woods in all directions, hanging out there would be ill-advised. Save your time and gas and go to a scary movie.
