By this point everyone has come across the copied Shadowlands list of Indiana Haunts. My plan here is to change the formula a bit and provide more information.
So I feel it is important to set up some basic guidelines on posting in the index. These guidelines are also subject to change as we learn what works, what doesn't and what might need to be added.
Note: if you do not meet all of these guidelines you can still post what information you have, just try to fill out as much as you can and stick to the formula.
Starting a new thread: The first post for a location should just be all the general information listed here. If all you have is an experience or investigation to post, please go to the investigations board and post it there.
Subject/Title of Thread: Town/City/County - Location Name
Example: Henryville - Dan's Run
Message: This is where all of the information you have on the specified location will be located. Make sure you include all of these subjects, if you don't have the information just leave that space blank.
Example:
Location Name: Dan's Run
City/Town/County: Henryville, IN
Legend: Daniel Guthrie was murdered and placed in a shallow grave near the corner of Pixley Knob Road and Cemetery Hill (Mountain Grove). Guthrie's body remained undetected for one year before being found, unearthed and reburied in nearby Mt. Zion Cemetery . The hole he was buried in is still open (about 4-feet deep) near the edge of the woods. Homes in the nearby area have experienced sightings of a young man with a large, handlebar bushy mustache, doors open and close by themselves, footsteps walking up and down hallways at night, footprints found outside bedroom windows, objects moving by themselves, and ghostly whispers. Also, a tape recorder left on Guthrie's gravestone in Mt. Zion later revealed a faint, haunting man's voice crying, "Help me, God help me, please help me..."
History:
Directions: From I-65 take Exit 16, turn (left coming from South, right coming from North) onto Memphis-Blue Lick Rd. Follow this road, until you see Cemetery Hill/Moutain Grove Rd on the left. You will come to a small cement bridge with a creek underneath shortly after turning onto this road. The woods to the left of the creek, looking off the right side of the bridge, is where the open shallow grave is located.

Issues regarding Photos, Video, and EVPs/Soundfiles:
It would preferable if all of the material was uploaded by you. If you find a photo of a location elsewhere, try getting in contact with that person who published it before using it; the same rule applies for EVPs and other sound files. As far as video goes, anything found from sites like YouTube, Daily Motion, ect. is fair game to post here. Just keep in mind that if you didn't upload it, you don't have control over when it's taken down. I will also be trying to archive any photos posted here, just in case the originals are taken down at some point.
