What moment in your life made you decide to start looking for the paranormal? For myself, it was after hearing a story from a co-worker. He just finished adding a new family room to his house. Now when he sits in the new room, he keeps seeing a white thing out of the corner of his eye in the old part of the house. First he thought it was headlights shining thru the windows, but he keeps seeing it when no cars are around. He never sees it in the new section, its always in the older section. After hearing that, I did a search and found the force forum. I didn't really investigate til almost a year later. Some of my friends and myself went to the Bostick Road bridge in Fort Wayne. We sat out there many time trying find anything. After that we came across the "list" that has been floating around the Internet. We started hitting all the different places almost every weekend.

I've had experiences with the paranormal since I was a child, but the moment I decided to hunt was when I realized I actually could! lol Until I watched ghost hunters the first time I had no idea how to go about ir or that it was even possible to get evidence that way. The moment that made me decide to do it however, was after my oldest son had his experience with "the man" in our house. I've only been able to get one EVP in our house and that tape was destroyed soon after I got it, but me and my boys both heard it.

I cant say I have ever "looked". Always been interested in the subject. I used to read lots of books about super-natural stuff when I was younger, now I like watching ghost hunters and other paranomal stories on TV. A few months of reading about local haunted places on the net and my interest has grown to a desire to do some investigations and visit with some of the history here in Indiana.

I've been interested in the paranormal since I was a kid. There was a show called "Eerie Indiana" that Fox used to run on Saturday mornings that I really liked. From there I started watching the shows on the then Fox Family Channel like "Scariest Places on Earth" and "Real Scary Stories." An episode that really stuck with me that I saw in 7th grade was where they taped inside the Waverly Hills Sanitorium, which I had never heard of at this point, and I found out it was only minutes away from me in Louisville, KY. Then throughout high school I caught shows like "Ghost Hunters" on the Sci-Fi and Travel Channel. Finally around this time last year I stumbled upon sites like The Force and the Indiana haunted list, decided to check out the places near me, and that's basically how I got into it.

I could never get into "Fear" because I never understood the point of some of the challenges. Like when they made you put your head inside the box full of bugs, and stuff like that. I also assumed it was fake because it was MTV, but in hindsight looking back at "Scariest Places on Earth" it was more than likely rigged as well.

Yeah, I didn't understand the stuipd things they had to do, but I was impressed they got to go into some of those haunted buildings. I think thats what I like so much about it.

Anyone else care to share? I'm getting back into investigation. I love the thrill of possibly finding something.

I was interested in the paranormal since I was a kid and I always had a somewhat belief in ghosts. (It's always good to second guess yourself). I always thought that the house I grew up in was haunted: weird noises, bad feelings, and my basement was painted red (like in the Amityville Horror). My dad used to tease us and say our basement was the entrance to hell. Good ole' dad. But anyways, what really got me into doing actual investigations was my current best friend. She's a very gifted medium and together we are a very good team. We're always on the look out for a good mystery and the sheer thrill of it all is amazing. I always get excited when we find a new place to go!
