Sellersburg - Old Man Ike's

Location Name: Old Man Ike's

City/Town/County: Sellersburg, IN

Legend: The story goes that sometime in the 1980's a man by the name of Ike killed seven people. The youngest boy's name was andrew. When Ike was a little boy a man broke into his house and he watched as this man killed his parents. The police caought the guy and Ike said it was the same man who he saw kill his parents. Ike swore vengence on this man and planned on killing him when he got older. Flash foreward to when Ike was 18. He was woking at this cement factory in Speed Indiana. He finds out that the man who killed his parents died while he was in prison. Ike decides if he cant kill the man, he will kill the mans family. He tracks down and kidnaps seven members of the guys family and ties them up in boiler room number one of the factory. he tortures them over the period of (we heard anywhere between a week and a month) and then drags them to his house (which is about one to two miles away). He drags them over a bridge to get to his house (the bridge has names written on it of two of the dead family members). He then hangs them one by one on a makeshift gallows he made in his backyard. Finally he hangs himself.

History:

Directions: Located on Stricker Road near the Sellersburg/Memphis border. The house is located across the street from a meat processing facility where it's safe to park your vehicle.

My parents and I originally hail from Sellersburg and I recall mentioning an "old collapsing house" around there to my aunt and she telling me a story different from the Legend. I will try to get a hold of her, show her the pictures and ask if that would be the house she thought I was talking about.



Edit:

I'd also like to make a note of how cleaned up its been lately. Seems the grass and many of the weeds and such have been cut or trimmed and some work has been done on the shed outside of the actual house.

The house isn't haunted.....that is the house my great grandfather carl grew up in......him and his brothers dug the well on the property themselves ......the house is located on my second cousin's property....I literally saw it july 6 2012 during my family reunion.....

I am from sellersburg and from talking with friends that still live up there, the fire department was called out there a few months back because the house was burning. it no longer stands but you can still visit the graveyard that is less than three minutes from the property where the house stood

I could'nt help but notice the story posted here about the "Old Man Ike" legend.From 2010 to 2013,my wife and myself hunted this legend.We found the actual location of the story which is much closer to the factory and located on Weber road instead.There where 3 houses and several farm buildings located there until Oct.2013 when the front house burned to the ground.The site is where Andrew lived along with a very large family.The legend seems to be mostly fabricated...but i assure you that the place was and still is very haunted to this day.I have left a lightshot image of Andrew and several other pics.If you are interested...I can tell you the real legend and my groups experience there.http://prntscr.com/6u2yig

Whether or not old man ikes is on strieker or weber road, the house on strieker displayed in the photos has serious paranormal activity going on. Ive been to both places and while experiencing nothing at the house on weber (closer to cement factory) me and two other friends have experienced some very scary and weird occurrences at the house displayed in pictures. We took things from the house and were haunted by something. None of the haunting went away until I talked to a priest about it that was experienced in the nature of this activity. I dont advise anybody to go to this place. Something demonic resides there and it is not friendly whatsoever. I mean it when I say dont go there! The paranormal world is not something to mess with and I experienced it first hand. All the vegetation in the yard is dead for a reason. My friends and I were fearless individuals that were scared of nothing and nobody until we messed with this hell hole. Also directions needs to be edited, the processing place IS NOT a safe place to park. The family of this house lives there and will call police if anyone is detected. Oddly enough though they wont step into the yard ever as if they know something is there. Ive been "detected" (never caught) three times and they just wont go in the yard but will stand on edge of road with flashlights looking for you. The best place for parking is at an electrical tower about a 1/4 mile down the road as its the only place to actually park if you want to be as covert as possible. I would tell my chain of events at this house but its too much to write. Its literally an hour and a half story when told to someone in person. Just please dont go to this placein the attempt to challenge it like I did. It will not end well for you.

My Dad built the processing plant across the street from there. I drive by that old house daily. I also live close. Ive been inside that house when i was a young kid and never saw anything weird or had any issues. The grass is dead not from ghosts but from the cattle that keep the grass ate down to the dirt almost. I really doubt any of this story is real.
